Pioneer Contributes With Power and Fidelity to Bogota's

Pioneer Contributes With Power and Fidelity to Bogota's "Sound-On-Wheels"

Its products will compete in the categories of Sound Sophistication and Volume. Finals for young Colombian DJs competition will also take place.

The excitement of music, the pleasure of high fidelity audio, and the power of sound—all inside the same automobile. Those who know how to enjoy this experience will have their great moment on November 21-23, when the 14th "Sound-On-Wheels" will take place in Bogota, the most significant entertainment multi-event in Colombia and the Region.

Endorsed by IASCA (International Auto Sound Challenge Association), this event—which will place at the Centro Internacional de Negocios y Exposiciones Corferias—will showcase the most advanced technology in automobile sound systems. Pioneer will present a wide array of devices, demonstrating the best components to customize individual needs—the newest CD and DVD Players with MP3, USB, and memory cards connections, as well as the most powerful amplifiers, speakers and subwoofers.
The audience will also have a chance to see Pioneer's redesigned Auto Demo, which boasts 121 speakers (including 52 subwoofers), a DVD Player, and powerful amplifiers.

"Sound-On-Wheels" is pure adrenaline. In addition to seeing the various models on display, visitors will have the chance to attend competitions among the 300 cars with the best tuning and sound systems, as well as casting their vote for the winner.

Pioneer, the world leader in auto sound systems, will compete in two of the contest's four categories.

"Pioneer stands out designing the best audio and video systems because it knows today's needs and trends. Pioneer has devoted its vast experience to developing technological innovations that transcend the boundaries of entertainment products for the automobile," explained Kazumi Takenaka, General Marketing Manager, Pioneer International Latin America S.A.

Pioneer will compete in the event's most exquisite part—the Sound Quality Expert Category—a battle it already won during this event's preliminary rounds in Medellín. This category seeks a sound experience similar to a live show, where the audience sits face-to-face with performers on a stage. The prize will go to the perfect balance among power, aesthetics, and fidelity. The system in the car to be presented by Pioneer deserves a detailed account: A DEX-P90RS main unit; a DEQ-P90RS processor; a TS-W5102SPL subwoofer, a powerful PRS-D2000SPL mono amplifier; a PRS-D4200F four-channel amplifier; a PRS-D2200T two-channel amplifier; two TS-C171PRS component speakers; a slim subwoofer TS-SW841D, and an AVH-P6850DVD video unit.

Pioneer will also participate in the “Advance No Wall 1” category, part of the impressive IDBL, an extreme test that consists in getting the greatest level of sound pressure inside the car. Those who see it, never forget it. During this test, assistants from each competitor help hold car doors and windows, so the pressure won't escape. Pioneer's car will have two 12-inch subwoofers with four amplifiers underneath.

Pioneer supports the talent of the best Colombian DJ's

This event is not only for lovers of sound systems, but also for music lovers, since the competition is not exclusive to machines. Finals for the Pioneer Pro DJ contest will take place during the event, where the best Colombian DJ's will measure their talent.

Those who attend "Sound-On-Wheels" will not want to miss the final contest for young DJ's, sponsored by Pioneer in support of Colombian talent. The winners of four preliminary rounds, which took place in Bogotá, Cali, Medellín and Cartagena, will come to a face-off during the event. The preliminary rounds took place among fan DJ's, who worked on electronic crossover music. These gifted young DJ's will create their music with some of Pioneer's best products: The DVJ1000 DVD Player and the CDJ-1000MK3 CD Player; an SVM-1000 Video Mixer and a DJM-700-K Audio Mixer, as well as HDJ-1000 Headphones.

We laugh, cry, love, travel and live through music. We deserve to listen to it through the most powerful, high fidelity sound systems.
